Career and Community Resource Fair

Roanoke-Chowan Community College hosted a Career & Community Resource Fair on March 31st with a high participation by students and community.

Information about careers, job opportunities, and community resources was shared by local businesses and industries including Chowanoke Public Transportation Authority (CPTA), ECU School of Dental Medicine, Hertford County Public Schools Human Resources, NCWorks Career Center, Newport News Shipbuilding, Nucor Steel Hertford County, Perdue Farms, and Roanoke Chowan Christian Women's Job Corps.

Also providing information about jobs available was the Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center, Roanoke Electric, State Employees Credit Union, Thompson Industrial Services, LLC, US Marines, Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital, (various departments), and Vocational Rehabilitation.

The event was open to the public and co-hosted by R-CCC and Hertford County Early College. Rivers East Workforce Development sponsored the career fair.
