Roanoke-Chowan Community College invites clergy for breakfast and conversation
(AHOSKIE) Roanoke-Chowan Community College will host its second ‘Clergy Breakfast and Conversation’ on Saturday, October 23, 9 am – 10:30 am in the Community Room on campus.
All pastors and local faith leaders are invited to join the conversation to discuss strengthening and building the community through education and outreach.
"We are continuing our conversations with local community leaders to learn about ways we can increase educational opportunities for those we serve,” states Dr. Murray J. Williams, president of the college. “We learned many strategies to engage students in our community at the first clergy breakfast and we are grateful to all those who came to campus to participate and join in prayer for the college."
In a series of conversations with the community, business and industry’ community stakeholders also gathered on campus in August and plan to meet again in the fall.
The ‘Clergy Breakfast and Conversation’ will be held in the Community Room, Freeland Building, Saturday, October 23rd at 9 am. Faith leaders are asked to RSVP by October 8th by calling Wendy Vann, Vice President for External Affairs and Executive Director for the Foundation at 862-1234; or email to wpvann6919@roanokechowan.edu.
