R-CCC signs articulation agreement with ECU for Criminal Justice program

(AHOSKIE) Roanoke-Chowan Community College has partnered with East Carolina University to sign articulation agreements for the Criminal Justice Technology program. This agreement will allow R-CCC graduates of this program to successfully transfer applicable credits from R-CCC to ECU, in preparation to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or Criminology. 

The articulation agreement was signed on Thursday, April 27 in the Community Room, located in the Freeland Building of R-CCC.  

“We are excited about the Criminal Justice articulation agreement with ECU.” states Dr. Tanya Oliver, Interim Vice President of Instruction & Student Services. “This agreement will provide a wealth of opportunity for our Criminal Justice students to have a seamless pathway from R-CCC to ECU. We look forward to our students’ success at ECU and beyond.” 

Dwayne Ponton, Division Director for Business Technologies, and Program Coordinator of the Criminal Justice Technology program states, “I am excited to have this new opportunity for continued growth for our Criminal Justice students here at R-CCC. This partnership with East Carolina’s Criminal Justice program is another example of two institutions of higher learning coming together for the benefit of mission. That mission is to ensure that there is a seamless transition of higher learning from a two-year degree to a four-year degree. I am looking forward to seeing the benefits of what this partnership has to offer.”
