R-CCC Nursing Director Stacey Coburn Honored During National Women’s History Monthon
AHOSKIE, NC –Roanoke-Chowan Community College proudly celebrates Stacey Coburn, Director of the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program, who was recently awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the Hertford County Board of Commissioners during National Women’s History Month. The award was presented on March 17, 2025, in recognition of her unwavering dedication, compassion and commitment to the health and well-being of the local community.
Coburn, who joined R-CCC’s nursing faculty in 2017 and was selected as director of the ADN program in 2022, has had a profound impact both in the classroom and throughout the community. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2020 from East Carolina University.
“Driven by a deep commitment to compassionate care and lifelong learning, I have dedicated my career to the nursing profession,” said Coburn. “I spent 17 years providing direct patient care at the bedside before transitioning into nursing education, where I’ve spent the past eight years shaping the next generation of nurses. My daily goal is to inspire and equip future nurses to think critically, act ethically and deliver the highest standard of care to our community. It is a true honor to be recognized as a woman committed to excellence in healthcare, and I remain passionate about making a lasting impact in the lives of both patients and students.”
The Hertford County Board of Commissioners noted Coburn’s significant contributions to healthcare and education, expressing their deep appreciation for her service and positive influence on so many lives.
