Jennings named new nursing faculty at R-CCC

AHOSKIE, NC – Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) has named Victoria Jennings as a new faculty member in the Associate Degree Nursing program. Jennings moved into the full-time instructor position after serving for one year at the college as an adjunct faculty member.

“Since becoming a nurse, I had always wanted to become a clinical instructor. In the Fall of 2023, I had the pleasure of joining R-CCC as a part-time nursing clinical instructor. Once I got a taste of teaching, I wanted to transition to a more permanent role in my career. R-CCC provided me with that opportunity with excellent nursing faculty to help guide me through my new role,” said Jennings.

Prior to arriving at R-CCC, Jennings was a nurse at ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton working in the medical-surgical and intensive care units and the emergency department. She has also served at ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie in the emergency department. Jennings has experience in other clinical settings around the area.

“As I continue to grow in my new role as a full-time nursing instructor, I hope that I can continue to encourage and support future nursing students in making their dreams come true,” added Jennings. “There continues to be an endless opportunity for jobs as well as job growth within the field.”

Jennings holds an Associate in Applied Science in Nursing from Pitt Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University.

“R-CCC is delighted to welcome Victoria Jennings as a full-time faculty member in our Associate Degree Nursing program. Victoria’s extensive experience in diverse clinical settings, coupled with her passion for teaching and mentoring, makes her an incredible asset to our nursing faculty. After serving as an adjunct faculty member, she demonstrated her dedication to nurturing the next generation of nurses, and we are excited to see her bring that same enthusiasm and expertise to her new role. Her commitment to guiding and supporting our students will be instrumental in preparing them for rewarding careers in healthcare," said R-CCC President Dr. Murray J. Williams.
