Roanoke-Chowan Community College’s (R-CCC) Library is one of 50 U.S. libraries newly selected to host Americans and the Holocaust, a traveling exhibition from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and the American Library Association that examines the motives, pressures and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war and genocide in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s. Pictured is R-CCC Director of Library Services Carol Anne Hankinson at a two-day orientation workshop at the Museum. Americans and the Holocaust will be on display at R-CCC’s Library, along with a series of related special events, from Aug. 19 – Sept. 30, 2026.

The first-ever Regional Career Fair was hosted by six area community colleges on July 13 and was held at Edgecombe Community College’s Barnhill-Jenkins Center for Innovation in Tarboro. Human Resources representatives from the College of the Albemarle, Edgecombe Community College (ECC), Halifax Community College, Martin Community College, Nash Community College and Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) were in attendance. Welders are in demand and can make good money. That was a key takeaway from the R-CCC Weld to Work Ceremony held July 10 at Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC).
