Roanoke-Chowan Community College hosted the Speedway to Healthy Program, an interactive learning experience presented by Hertford County 4-H. From March 4-6, students from kindergarten through fifth grade raced through a 1,200-square-foot exhibit designed to teach them about nutrition, health and wellness in a fun and engaging way. The Speedway to Healthy Program, part of North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University’s 4-H Youth Development Program, transforms learning into an immersive adventure.

Roanoke-Chowan Community College (R-CCC) announced a significant materials donation from NUCOR Steel, one of the nation’s leading steel manufacturers housed locally in Hertford County. NUCOR donated plate steel to R-CCC’s welding program, a contribution that will continue to have a profound impact on the college’s workforce training initiatives and students.
